Interactive 3D web development

Give people something they can explore, operate and understand.

Masterwork Studio builds interactive 3D websites and WebGL experiences for equipment demonstrations, medical visualization, training and film. Based in Kennesaw, Georgia, we work with clients in Atlanta and across the United States.

01 / Services

3D web development, from model to interaction.

WebGL brings interactive 3D graphics into a web page. The useful part is deciding what a visitor should be able to do with them.

02 / Explore the work

Working examples you can open.

These public studio demos show different uses for interactive 3D. Each opens as its own browser experience.

Equipment / Explanation

Interactive jet engine

A turbofan experience with a cutaway, subsystem isolation, spool rotation and airflow controls. A guided explanation follows the engine from intake to nozzle, followed by a six-question check. It shows how an equipment model can become a teaching tool.

Training / Procedure

Gram stain lab

A virtual microbiology bench where the learner follows the Gram stain procedure, works through reagents and sees why order and timing matter. It is an example of using 3D interaction to teach a sequence, rather than only showing the finished result.

Character / Interaction

Speaking web avatar

A 3D character with speech-driven mouth movement and facial behavior in the browser. The project brings character preparation, animation and a speech connection together in one experience.

03 / Project planning

Start with what the visitor needs to do.

  1. Define the experience

Describe the audience and the task: inspecting equipment, learning a procedure or exploring a product. Include the website it belongs on, the target devices and any deadline.

  2. Review the source material

Share reference links and describe any existing 3D models, animations or training material. Model preparation, interaction design, content review and website integration determine the scope.

  3. Agree on the deliverable

Identify the required interactions, review points and browser/device checks before production. Decide whether the result belongs on a dedicated page or within an existing site, and how visitors reach the next step.

04 / Before you commission

Questions about building for the browser.

What is the difference between a 3D animation and an interactive website?

A rendered animation has a fixed sequence. An interactive 3D website lets the visitor control part of the experience, such as moving the camera, selecting a component or working through a task. A project can use both: animation to explain motion and interaction to let people investigate.

Will it work on phones and tablets?

Mobile support needs to be designed and tested against the devices your audience uses. Scene complexity, texture sizes, controls and loading behavior affect the result. Include mobile requirements when describing your project so they shape the scope from the beginning.

Can you use my existing 3D models?

Existing models can be a starting point. Their format, materials, textures, animation and level of detail need review before estimating the preparation work. A model built for a render or engineering workflow may need changes for the web. See our measured examples of GLB file sizes.

Can the experience go on my existing website?

The right approach depends on the site and the interaction. It may be a dedicated page or an experience integrated into an existing page. Share the website URL and platform so hosting, navigation, loading and any connection to existing systems can be included in the plan.

How much does a project cost, and how long will it take?

A useful estimate needs the source assets, required interactions, target devices and review requirements. A model viewer and a guided training module involve different work. Send a short brief, a reference and your intended deadline through the project form so Mitchell can discuss scope and timing with you.

Do you work only with clients in Georgia?

Masterwork Studio is based in Kennesaw, in the Atlanta metro area, and serves clients across the United States. Include your location and any meeting or delivery requirements in the inquiry.

Tell me what you want people to explore.

A rough idea is enough to begin. Include who it is for, what visitors should be able to do, any existing models and your target date.
